Re: Add wood species to door material
It's been a while since my last post lol
I have a question relevant to this topic of course.
The OP was how to go about adding a species to the wood in DOOR and DRAWER editor.
I am still wondering how to add this because this suggestion doesn't allow it to add a new species such as "Knotty Pine ...

Re: Wndows 10 upgrain
I'm surprised this wasn't answered, but it shouldn't effect eCabinets.
I'm running it on Windows 10 upgrade from 7 Pro. I did a dual boot just in case it did. But so far running pretty well. My comp specs aren't what they should so larger more detailed jobs require separate job file.

Wish list (EDITED) lol
I know I know.. another "wish I had..."
But first I gotta say the software has improved dramatically. It also appears less issues are being reported as in times past. Something us older ecab users are quite familiar with. LOL
Here is my thought in a future build.

What version are you using? You can install OPEN OFFICE. This will also open in tabs.

Creating Counter-tops
Just wondering if any of you use the Counter top editor to create counter tops in eCabinets. And maybe it's been covered?

Re: cabinet part list into excel
Chris,
If I understand you wanting to export your cut list to Excel, is easy with a click of the button between the Line Drawing Editor and CNC output button.
However, I think your question is probably relative to how to separate items of like kind, once you do export the file. That will be done ...

Re: Clearing KD/RTA defaults
Ok,
I just restarted my comp, and the "shelf" hardware showed up. So I did the method and this appears to work. Again...operator error is generally the only issue

Re: Clearing KD/RTA defaults
Thanks Kerry,
I removed the item from Define Hardware as you said. Then pulled from the cabinets into the editor and yes a dialog pops up. However, the CLEAR FROM CABINET is greyed out.

Here is the file. It is one of the Frameless 001 Cabinets library.
Load the cab in CE and click BUY. You will notice 16ea HF-28211707.
Now try removing the 16 KD HF-28211707 from the editors. Neither editors dialog allows you to "remove" them.

Re: Clearing KD/RTA defaults
I have to agree about the work arounds..
I only found these in the "shared cabinets" from our download page. I may just rebuild them from std cabinets.

Re: Clearing KD/RTA defaults
Thanks Ralph I'll give that a shot. However, if I understand the software in this area (which is new to me) it will merely replace one pattern with a "no hole" pattern. Although I'm sure it would be ok as far as general operations, but can get confusing to see additional machining ops on the print ...

Re: Clearing KD/RTA defaults
I can't seem to remove these either. I have tried ME, SE, even global Adjust cabinet features.. Still can't "remove" these once they are applied to the cabinet.
It seems there is a button "Remove" missing. Or maybe I'm missing.. hmm

MOST older systems wont support 2gig cards, some WILL support 2-2gig cards. But all will/should support 4-1gig cards providing there are 4 slots. Also they need to be "PAIRED".

Re: LDE problem with latest upgrade
Hey Donald,
I've done the same thing before. In fact it happens more often if you "resize" the object for some reason. It doesn't take but a smidgen of a rotate to cause this.
Try opening the cabinet into CE again, and bringing it back into LDE. RE-size it, and press HOME. THEN try your dimensions ...
