Re: Door Issues again
Oh boy, the file that looked good I sent to the machine but it seems there was a bug, any solutions? The profile just crossed into the other door and gave an error x axis out of bounds

Re: Door Issues again
Hi Nicholas. So I had a look at your door. And started a new door from scratch in the door designer. First I was having problems with constraining the pattern the way you had drawn it because the points were on top of one another. So I played around with the method a little bit putting in 2mm gaps ...

Re: Door Issues again
Hi Nicholas I haven't had time to try your system. I'm not sure if you are trying to match wood grain and cutting the single door into drawers and door on a panel saw or sliding saw after machining? are you aware of the group door and drawers function? Right click in the cabinet editor, group the p...

Re: Door Issues again
Hi Nicholas. Definitely do as Scott Mashburn has suggested. You can create doors in the door designer and save them with the constraints for use on multiple cabinets, or edit individual slab doors from the cabinet / assembly editor and save that unit as a one of design. I looked at the (problem has...

Re: Door Issues again
Thanks Scott and Mark! very helpful yes I didn't even check to see if profiles could be constrained, very funny it was actually such a simple solution, thanks guys!Scott Marshburn wrote: ↑Tue, Dec 12 2023, 10:22PM You can constrain the profile cuts the same way that you constrain geometry

Re: is there Quicker ways to add leg predrills?
Hi Nicholas. I think the way i would do this, is to take that bottom shelf as it is now with all the holes in the correct positions, into the part editor. ( perhaps set up a 250mm / 10 inch one for the template)( So the pattern doesn't load off the part) Go into the contour area, (the button in bet...

is there Quicker ways to add leg predrills?
is there a certain kd pattern or something like that in order to add these legs much easier (i do not do sets to show how many numbers have to be typed in) i just want a pattern that could be added to the deck of the cabinet just for 3 holes instead of part editing everything the numbers are just fo...

Re: Door Issues again
I think it's important to note as well that it was profiled by adding each line by contour lines in the part editor on a slab door then profiling a chain profile for all interior except for the lines that are seperating each false drawer those are single lines

Door Issues again
Working on a door that is Raised panel but has an issue after all is done and profiled correctly if you add a handle you get one issue that looks a little different but if u go to part editor on that completed raised panel door then it shrinks to the size of a drawer face of it's own accord all info...

Unnecessary gaps where interruption of locked dado starts
Hi so I’ve been having this issue for a while where there is these gaps in each of my pieces and we sent it to a different machine and it cut it the same way, we use locked dado with an interruption of 5/16 and the pattern we use is just a 1/8 predrill Does anyone know what this is? I’ll send the wo...

2 glitches in one Drawer lock dado predrill and stretcher rotation
Hey so I have another problem this time it's with drawers, specifically the programmed predrills for these drawers so we made a kd/rta pattern that resembles predrills for lock dados, just simple 1/8 predrills and we have no problem anywhere with this pattern except for specifically the front right/...

Re: GLITCH in part editor for doors that are edged
Hi Nicholas. When I examined it in the part editor it seemed okay. When I zoom in I cant see that slit. (it does look like edging in your image) The door came into my ecabs unconstrained. Unless somebody else comes in with an answer, My two cents. I used to have a lot of problems with constraints. ...

Re: GLITCH in part editor for doors that are edged
[quote="Mark McCallum"] thanks Mark, i like the way you formulate your constraints; the holes are supposed to not go through all the way i tried to recreate the door again and this time the problem is in a much higher caliber, I'll link the doors again and if it looks right in part editor ...
