I redid the cabinet and checked on the grain of the back as you suggested.
That was the problem, I had it at 90 degrees instead of 0 degrees.
Now it nests.

I did not create a room. I just created a cabinet in the editor and saved it. It was saved as an esj.
I only need the one cabinet as it is standalone.

My test worked so I guess it passed. I was having an issue with Save versus Submit.

I created a simple cabinet with ply sides, ply doors, top, two shelves (all these are 3/4 ply)and a back (1/2 ply).
When I run the nest program it nests the 3/4 ply parts fine. It displays a message that the 1/2 piece could not be nested for the back.
Consequently the cut list and the costing does ...

I created a job in version 6 based on a frameless cabinet.
I saved the job as an esj.

I went back later to open the file and it opens but there is no cabinet diagram. I can se a cost sheet with no data. I get the main design screen to pick something to do and the cabinet I designed is not there ...

Hi Bob. Sorry to hear you're having trouble. So from what you are saying the update ran successfully, but you are not seeing 5.2. Did you start the application? The icon on the desktop does not change to 5.2 until you run the application the first time.
If this is not your problem, maybe your virus ...

When you download it, you will have an icon on your desk top. click on it and it will go to the install wizard and install the program. It will ask you if you want to uninstall v5.1, click yes. After you are through, click on your v5.1 on the desktop and it will update and change to v5.2.

Thanks for sharing the china cabinet that you did. Very nice piece. Now that would be one I would purchase as a starting point.
A lot of the design work for doors and moldings is done and can be modified.
