resizing cabinets after geometry cut, help!
I make some geometry cuts in the front of left and right sides of cabinet. After when i want to change the depth of the cabinet the cuts in the right side only change in depth as well, why is that?

Ian,
Did you constrain the dimensions of the geometries in the Constraint Manager?

the only way I can get it to stay is to constrain them. So what i have noticed is when resizing the left end changes the back end and for the right end it changes the front, and my geometry cuts are in the top front. If i do the cuts in the middle they don't change for some reason.

Ian,
I think you will need to constrain all of your geometry cuts or they will move when the part is re-sized.
It can get confusing.

I have to agree with Kerry. I have a large library of commercial cabinetry with all sorts of part editor cuts for different applications. The only way that I have ever found to have cabinets be resizable and still maintain the cuts is to use the constraint manager. I also agree it can be confusing and frustrating since many times it feels like you have to constrain absolutely everything to the point of being redundant.
As a side note does anyone else wish we could reference the dimensions of other parts of a cabinet in the constraint manager? Say for instance you put a cut in the side of a cabinet and wanted to constrain it based on the thickness or width of the top or deck of the cabinet. Maybe there is a way to do this I don't know about but its just a thought.
