Progress bar glitch

Post by Forrest Chapman »

I just started experiencing this. When doing a rebuild or some type of function that displays a progress bar the box never closes. Just hangs up on the screen. Usually when I re gen or go back to another screen it will disappear but still an annoyance. I'm thinking it may be a new W10 update but even after doing the latest one today it's still an issue. I'm on the most recent build for my video card but it is already a couple years old so can't do anything about that.

Thanks, Forrest

Forrest,

I used to have that all the time. Very annoying. A new computer fixed it for me. :D

I get that regularly too. I don't think I'm ready to take the step Kerry did and get a new computer to make it go away. Obviously a bug in eCabs software somewhere. I'll let them fix it...

Kerry,

My newer laptop doesn't do it so I'm sure a new desktop would fix it but its still a very capable setup so kinda hard to justify replacing at this point. I think it's graphics card related but maybe something Thermwood can look at and adjust.

If we could get it to happen more than once every 6-8 months we would at least have a chance to figure out what the issue is. But, if you can get a cabinet that does it every time and the steps or changes you are making that leaves the dialog hanging, we can at least try here on various computers to try to reproduce it.

Those intermittent issues are a real pain to find. I understand. It certainly doesn't stop a user from working. I normally just move the dialog off the bottom of the screen out of the way and keep going.

Long as the dialog is selected you can press escape and it will go away.
