Creating Doors With Alternate Framing Sizes [For Presentation]

Post by Vince Lisanti »

I am trying to create a shaker door that has 2 3/4" framing that will show in renderings and drawings and that will size with the cabinets.

I am aware that for cutlist purposes it can be done in the "Details For Cutlist" section but I also could use something that shows up in presentations.

It's been a while since I have been on the forum. Is this doable yet?

Thanks

Vince,

With the release of eCabinets in December you can now save Part Editor cuts with Slab Doors and Drawers. You can review the help manual under the What's New for more information.

Thanks Clint,
I was not aware of this new function. This serves as a workaround for me for presentation to the customer.
I just wish we could have this ability in the 5 piece door section as well, so that then the cutlist information would also be available.

In the meantime, I will create the job using the slab doors (that have been designed to look like shaker doors) and once the customer signs off on the drawings change the doors globally to a 5 piece shaker door so that I can get the cutlist info.

Thanks again!
