Ice Qube not working

Post by Eric Sooy »

It seems the air con unit on the side of the control cabinet has stopped working. Its control panel is blank - no temp or anything. Any tips of where to start to sort this out? :wall:

Eric,

Open up the side of the cabinet and trace the wires back to their junction. You can use a multimeter to verify you have voltage there, should be normal 110 AC so don't shock yourself. If you don't have voltage there trace it back to see if the fuse is blown. If you do have voltage there, you can call in and talk to our tech service people and see what else can be done. Verifying voltage would be the first step though.

Yippee! It was just the fuse. Don't know why I didn't check that first - it was clearly labeled. Thanks for you help :D

Good to hear it was simple. Make sure filter and coils are clean so it isn't overdrawing itself. And keep an eye on it in the event something on the inside of the a/c unit is going bad. Wouldn't want to bake everything in the cabinet.
