Ok I kind of figured out how to make the turn with the crown mold, now I would like to know how canyou edit a tool because the tool I have is fine it just cuts upside down on the part.
I am trying to make the crown mold turn and return to the wall on the sides

You can't edit a tool unless you have the geometry (.x_t) file. If you don't have it, just create the part upside down then the tool will correctly profile the part.

Gary,

Loose the plaid wall paper. You have a nice looking mantle but I don't see anything but the wall paper. :P

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "...it just cuts upside down on the part..."

Can you post an end view image of the part with the profile and an image of the tool in the tool selection dialog with offsets and plunge set (like these)?

Dan I will try to get a picture and post it. For some reason I can render a drawing but I can't get a picture with just the camara in other words no jpeg image. All the parts are assemblies can I send you the file?

This may or may not work with Vista, but try Alt-PrtScrn then paste it into your paint program or Word, etc.

Sure, just email the files to me. You will have to compress (zip) them first or my email server will reject them.
