Tweak the Tool Measurement Code

Post by Tommy Wieler »

Greetings!
Just curious if there is any way of being able to tweak the feed speed during the tool measurement process, other than using the feed rate selector? I'd like to be able to input custom feed speeds for the final portion of the process, the "drop Z in fine increments". We've found that letting the tool measurement run at full speed as opposed to a 3% feed rate can sometimes make up to .1 mm difference in the final daylight value of the tool.
Right now, we let the tool drop down onto the sensor at full speed, then yank the speed back to 3% once it starts pulling back up. This works, but hey, if there was a way to automate the process on my end, I wouldn't complain!

Have a great day!
