Roughing and CN

Post by Stuart Douglas »

Is anyone else seeing that roughing has broken CN? Evey time I try to click on the roughing button in the tool setup, CN fails. Happened a bit in the previous version of CN, and is still happening in the new one as well. Curious if anyone else has seen this problem.

I have run into this issue in the course of trying to turn roughing OFF. But since it is not behaving, I cant even shut it off to diagnose other issues. Seems that when moving some DXFs around on the sheet, the geometry is truncated. got to get to the bottom of the UI issue first I suppose to see it if is the roughing settings making things misbehave.

Stuart,

I see the same thing crashing on my desktop version and sent the information to the software engineers. I'll let you know more when I know more.

Can you get me an export of your current settings and a little more description of what is going on with DXFs and Manual Nesting? Also a DXF or two that are creating issues?

The short answer is yes. I know I have the valuable data needed to diagnose, but have been short on time. I'll try to gather all the files up and post them asap.

Stuart,

We just released version 7.01 that should address your issues with software crashing when dealing with roughing. Hopefully that gets you on the path to figure out what else is going on.
