We use materials of 18 mm thickness. Is there a way for us to write our company's logo embossed?
Please help me with respect ...

It would help if you had a better image of the logo. The best would be an image in the .eps format. (encapsulated post script)
This will help to have clean edges to detect and create a .dxf.
The edges are too ragged from your small image

I did this in Vectric VCarve Pro in about 5 minutes.

• Imported the raster image.
• Traced the raster image.
• Quickly fixed up the vectors. (Could use a little more "massaging".)
• Defined a "Profile" tool path with "square corners".

I know the guys would like to help you, but its not so simple.
To match the tooling to your machine (every machine is slightly different) and to get the correct tool lengths and tool paths is...........Semi complicated.
Loading the wrong settings could break something.


I am a beginner on these machines as well and am going through similar learning as you are.
I feel your pain

I am taking baby steps until I get more control and understanding of what is happening on the machine, that is I stick to the stuff I can do and mess around with the stuff I want to do.
It takes a while but it comes eventually.

If like me you don't want to sit down and learn G code, the various visual based, specialized 3d drawing programs with tool pathing output are well worth it in my opinion.
Of course you can try and find a programmer to work with you, but good luck with that.
Perhaps if you put it as a paid job here on the forum someone might be prepared to put the time in to sort it out? Maybe.........maybe not?

I would take Brads McIntosh's advice and perhaps get a program like Vectric VCarve Pro or similar and have the output code or output post programed for your machine.
Its designed to do that sort of thing, lettering and signs and 3d stuff,
It might cost a bit of time and money up front but if you are going to branch out, eventually you have to do it and worth it in the long run.

It's way more complicated to do signs in eCabs, its not designed to easily handle that sort of thing.

eCabs is brilliant for cabinet work. It does all the complex tool pathing while allowing for complicated cabinet design, all without having to know a single line of computer code, its all just happening and going on there in the background.

I approached it a little differently. I created my "signature" by laser etching it into 1/8" thick baltic birch. I then apply the little 1"x3" signature plaques where I want them with double stick tape. For cabinetry I'll put a couple inside some drawers and a couple more on the inside of upper cabinet doors. For furniture I'll put them in a place that is not visible unless you look for it. Very economical and effective. I get about 200 made at a time at the local high school and pay them for their time. Gives the students experience in using their laser machine to produce a product (with specific requirements) for a customer and I get really nice signature plaques. Win Win.
