Predrill Hole Error....

Does anyone put predrill holes in parts for screws?? I did this once in version 5.0, with a couple of errors but worked. Now in version 5.1 build three it won't let me put any holes in the dado, I do understand it does confuse the machining with these holes, but does anyone know a way around this? Any help would be appreciated

make the dados first, then go back and make the holes!

I've done it that way. Everything looks O.K. but the dado does not get cut at the machine.

Are you gentlemen saying that you are cutting through the dado’s with a circle half on half off the dado? And you get error messages when leaving the part editor and the dado’s are not cutting out at the machine? If so could you attach a cabinet that the dado’s are not cutting at the machine so we can see what’s going on.

I can't post the cabinet because the part editor won't let me make an 1/8 hole in the mortise area, I have found it doesn't matter where the hole is on the mortise , either half and half or fully in the dado. Thanks
