Are you talking about creating the chip trays in the other 4 sides? If that is what you are going for, trying taking the top into the part editor, then into contour mode. Right-click and select \"create edges\". You can then use the offset function to copy the lines a specified distance away. Trim them to the shape you want, then exit from contour mode and pocket them away.

Hope this helps

No problem George.

To get it to cut out, once you have made your shapes, exit from contour mode, right-click and select \"cut/pocket using closed contour\". then select the shape, it should turn green. in the bottom right corner of the screen a \"next\" button will appear, click on this and it will bring up the dialoge where you select your depth.

hope that gets it to work for ya

George,

You should have been done with that cradle by now. The baby is coming and it ain't gonna wait for the cradle. :o

The poker table: can you import a dxf file to cut the pockets. Is the problem because you can't do angular geometric shapes?

Here George,

Hope this helps. Took me a while but I created a DXF file you can import into the part editor and do all the editor cuts at one time.

The DFX file is included if you need to produce another top like that one. In fact you can inlarge or srink it to fit any octogonal shape by selecting the shape and using Ctrl and both mouse buttons.
