Sloped roof cabinet

I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to design a cabinet so that one side will slope downward along the roof line of a bonus room. I am sure I am not the first one to try and accomplish this, but I have been unable to figure it out so far. Any help would be greatly appreciate it.

That is exactly what I am trying to do. It figured it could be done and probably had been done, but I have been unable to figure it out so far. Can you tell me how you do this?

Yes, I can have it cut on a CNC, if that is what you are asking. Does that help somehow?

Brendan,

Give your left (or right) end an appropriate top inset for the rise of the cabinet in Construction Settings
then give the top an appropriate left inset for the run of your cabinet. Highlight the back and take it to the part editor and use the same rise and run info to enter into the chamfer tool and chamfer the back.
Calculate the diagonal of your angle and create a display board to fill the angle on the top. (you can use the Measurement tool in eCabinets to calculate this.)
Place your shelves in the normal manner. You will have to give a left inset to any shelf that is in the angled part.

I think on most CNCs the miters for the angled top will have to be calculated and cut as a secondary manual operation.

Kerry, one other thing I would add, If you are going to build this cabinet with blind dado construction, go to the construction editor and edit the tenon insets, otherwise you will get an error.

I noticed that you went to the trouble to show the miter cuts, would you tool up and cut those on the router or would you cut those manually? This isn't a cabinet that most of us would cut out very often.

Kerry, I would personally cut them on the table saw. I think from a time management standpoint, some steps can be executed better without the router. By the time I replaced the tool in the router, I can tilt the blade and be done.

Sorry, hit submit too soon. I was just playing around with the miters on this cabinet because I have a cabinet that I have to build this weekend like this. I have a house I am working on that has a laundry room with a staircase going up the back wall cutting an angle into the ceiling and has created the same situation for me as Brendon has. The bad thing is, I thought I was through with this house yesterday and the home owner says: "Hey, what about my laundry room cabinets?", All I could say was, "the builder doesn't have anything planned for laundry room cabinets, he has a wire shelve on the blue prints". Guess what, now I am building laundry room cabinets. The comunication process is not very good between the home owner and the builder. By the time I get the info, who nows what the H@** I am suppost to do. The builder tells me one thing and the home owner pops in and says something else. The only thing I can say is UPCHARGE $$$$$$ !!!!
