I am having a problem with my computer freezing up in the door editor. The program isn't all that freezes but the computer, everything. My question is should I uninstall vista and replace it with XP? If someone thinks that this will help I will definitely try it.

What are your computer specs Don, especially the video card and amount of memory it has?

I know it has a 2gb hard drive and also unfortunately has a shared graphics card, already looked and getting a different card but was told by the computer store that I could not. I use this computer just for ecabs and unfortunately did not read the recommended computer post before I bought it. I know Vista takes up a lot of space and was thinking that if I installed xp then that would definitely free up some space and make ecabinets run a lot smoother. My other computer has half the memory that my new computer has and has never had a problem with ecabs because it has xp I presume.

The graphics card is the big issue. I don't think installing XP would help much if at all.

To get decent performance from eCabinets, and by that I mean not sitting around twiddlinng your fingers waiting on the screen to paint, you really need a workstation-class computer--whether it is a desktop or a laptop. Workstation-class computers have, among other things, very robust graphics cards that are required by software such as CAD and eCabinets.
