TRIMMING LINES IN SHAPE MANAGER

I'm drawing up a shape for a tool but when I use the 'spline curve' for a line I can't seem to trim it.I can trim everything else except when I use 'spline' Anyone else have this problem? I've reverted to using a series of 3pt.circles to get the "S" shape that I want but would rather use the spline curve

These things are a problem. I normally draw them up in another program and bring them in as a dxf and create the tool.

Thanks Damon,figured as much.Guess its something the programmers will get to one day soon,they deserve a big hand for 5.2 though !!
