Toe Kick problem
How do I place a 3" x 4" toe kick around 3 sides of my cabinet?

Re: Toe Kick problem
DuWayne, I use a resizable kick that you can attach to the bottom of your cab, or place in your room first.HTH

Do you rather place the toe kick at the custom layout, instead of in cabinet?
I always have a hard time with the finish of my toe kick. Usually it ends up the sides not being finished. I have tryed all kinds of things.
Is there something that I am doing wrong? Do you have any suggestions?

Re: Toe Kick problem
Sergio, we do are TK separate and apply finished product after. Post the cab and I'll take a look at it.

Re: Toe Kick problem
Rick,
Thank you for your reply.
Here is the cabinet. I am not sure if I was clear before, but my toe kick is not separate from the cabinet; they are all one piece.

Re: Toe Kick problem
Rick,
This is great. How did you do that? I have tried all kinds of things. I guess I haven't tried what you did.
Thanks!

Re: Toe Kick problem
Sergio, if you hover over the TK you will notice it is a stretcher now. Without knowing what you need in terms of cutlist, method of construction, or display purposes I chose display. You can add a user part name to it for your cutlist. HTH

Re: Toe Kick problem
Rick,
Thank you very much.
That will do it for this job.
Let me ask you this... What is the advantage of using a toe kick that is not attached to the cabinet like I did. In my understanding you use a different type of toe kick right?
When you do that, how do you place the cabinets in custom layout? I noticed in someone else's post that they had all this toe kick layout, but not cabinets. Is it simpler to do that way?
Thanks again.

Re: Toe Kick problem
Sergio, in general I think it's personal preference to how you build cabinets with dictates what method a person uses. Some use a gable that goes to the floor, others attach a loose base to each cab and some may use levelers. We like to build bases from 3/4 plywood for strength and moisture resistants. We also find it easier to laser in a room full of bases first, then mount cabs on top.
