select mode in wall elevation

Ok guys and girls,
Heres probably a dumb one I am overlooking.
In custom layout, wall elevation, when I install a cabinet, it installs and then I have a copy of it ready to install hovering in the green waiting to be placed. The only option I seem to have is to select that cabinet or another from my library to install. My problem is that I cant seem to figure out how to get back into select mode while in wall elevation, say to highlight a cabinet and check measurments, move in incremets, whatever. I know it should be there somewhere, but I cant find it and it is a real pain to have to go back to plan/oh view to bring up the menu to get back into select mode and then back to wall elevation........... whose going to be the first to laugh at me and tell me what I am missing?????

Michael,

I think I did what you mentioned. After dropping a cabinet I hit esc on my keyboard which allowed me to go anywhere I pleased. I don't know if that is what you are talking about but may help.

WOW, thank you so much, that was exactly what I was looking for, searched high and low for that on the task bar, right click menu, etc.
