This is my latest project. It is simple yet has been very fun. I have never designed or built a mobile island so it has been rewarding. I will post finished pictures later. I am close to being done.

Re: Mobile Island
Is that a handle or a cutting board above the drawer?
I built one for a retired couple a while back they slide there meals from the counter onto it then wheel it into the dining room to the table. No more carrying hot heavy pans and dishes. They are very happy with it. I am about to build another one for another customer.

Re: Mobile Island
Lamar,
It is a cutting board. She is wanting to use it for cutting purposes mostly. I advised that she let me add that feature so as to have a place to put the cutting board. She had originally wanted a wood cutting board so it just seemed natural to have it on board rather than trying to find a place for it elsewhere.
I will post finished pictures later after they get the granite top.

Re: Mobile Island
Here's one that I built for a smaller kitchen. It is on wheels but the kick hides them. It's heavy enough that you have to push it to move it.
