Hi guys,
Was wondering if you guys at Thermwood could give me an update on the progress of a new construction method combining a blind dado with 5mm screw holes. I made this recomendation quite some time ago and was wondering if it was marked in for an upcoming release or even if its a possibility at all. The majority of the work I have ever done involves blind dado construction with either part modification added 5mm through holes for screwing parts together or physically drilling the 5mm holes with a power drill.
This new construction method would be well received I believe.
Cheers,
Dale Wills

Re: Blind dado/5mm screw hole combination construction method
Hi Dale, I have entire librarys built this way. It would be nice to have it as a joint choice in the software. The way I typically do it now is to build the seed cabinet and take them into part editor and get my pilot holes on the ends, and then build everything off that seed for that library. I suppose you know you can then constrain these pilot holes and change widths/heights without losing you pilot holes.

Michael,
I have also done similar. This construction method makes a lot of sense to me and to get it in the software as a new feature would be great for many people.
