It has to be two hemispheres and then just join them together. That one is easy to cut really. I think you can do it with Shape Modeler on Thermwood. Personally if I have something like that I would use Mastercam. Still it was a good practise in eCab.
Jason, do you plan on actually cutting that part or it was merely for display purpose?

Re: How do I cut a sphere in shape manager?
I only ask out of curiosity to see how other people handle the situation. I can cut that in one piece with my CS45 no problem.
And you are right George you cut half a hemisphere from a block big enough to hold down with vacuum. then you cut the inverse shape into a 3" block of mdf as a holding fixture .Put a screw up from the bottom to hold the previous cut hemisphere and cut the other side.
Then I would mount the ball using the same screw hole on a lathe and sand the to perfection. By changing my settings in profile modeler I could cut them to only need a slight hand sanding.
If there were only a couple of them I could cut those faster on a lathe by hand. I have been mentored by a fifth generation English woodturner for the last 15 years. His Name is Richard Baily His Father turned billiard Balls from Ivory and other exotic timbers for the crown of England
You will have to excuse my spelling and puncuation as Ornamental wood work is my area of expertise
I'm at the end of my second year of operating the Thermwood and Due to the patience of Daniel Vonderhiede and other member of programming tech support we are making progress. It looks like a four year study

If you have a rotaty playback integrated on your CS45 you can cut that in one peice as if you've used a lathe.
I completely forgot that one.

Re: How do I cut a sphere in shape manager?
Hey Dan - thanks much, that does the trick! Well, I should say that I'm not totally sure about it, because I did it about 4 times before it actually worked. It kept saying "operation not possible". I kept trying different configurations of offsets and depths, blah blah blah - finally it just worked. I don't get it, but I'll go with it. This seems an appropriate place for a small man bashing his head against a wall -
.
And yes, I only intend to use this for display purposes. It's a stand-in for a bun foot, I didn't have the attention span to try to import an image.... although it probably would've been about the same amount of time and hair loss.
Thanks everyone - Jason

Ummm... welp...
Dan, I find it completely reprehensible that you wouldn't inform me of this BEFORE I went to all this trouble. In fact, before I even started this project would have been really helpful..... Yeah... I didn't realize they had them there. That would have been really cool, but then I wouldn't have learned anything, would I? Look at how much smarter I am now...
Thanks again for the info, Dan, I'll dig a little deeper into some of those other buttons one of these days.
Cheers - Jason

ROTFLMAO
I'm with you on the learning aspect. The Part Editor can be quite confusing and frustrating. The best way to learn about it is to try to make something out of the ordinary like that.
