I have been having an issue saving files the last little while.
When I go to save a drawing I am working on it starts saving, but just before the bar gets to 100%, an error message is given as "there was a problem saving the job". It then goes back to the drawing, and I am still able to work in it, however I am not able to use save or save as, and it normally crashes the program if I go to line drawing editor.
While the file is still opened and I go to the file directory, it is not there, and if I close the program everything is lost.
Normally I do backup saves every 20-30 minutes or so, but in a rush I forgot to this time. Just wondering if there was a reason this is happening and if there is a way to prevent this.
I am running on Vista, however I believe I was having the same problem on my desktop which is XP.
I was able to save it multiple times throughout the process, only until the last save was when I ran into trouble. I forgot to save a back-up drawing as I was in a rush, so I have nothing from the drawing and had to start from scratch.
It does not happen often. I would say its probably 1 of every 10-15 jobs I do this will happen, normally it's not a problem as I would just have to redo a couple things from a backup.
It seems it happens more often on larger jobs, and if I used line drawing editor during the process.
As far as the issues with the OS, I know I have had the same end result (Saving Files -> File missing), but in XP it would just crash and the file would be missing afterward, where as Vista would normally let me continue to work on the drawing but never let me save or use line drawing editor, so it might be the same cause and effect.
All my drivers are up to date, and both of my computers meet or exceed requirements.
