Can someone help me out here........trying to find the setting in control nest where you select where you want your default sheet location. Where can I find it?
I think we may be off track here. Basically instead of nesting from the G901, I want to nest from the G902 and use the flip operation fence. I have pre-cut panels in which I need to do some machining on the inside. So I need to locate then using the flip operation fence and also don't want any outline cut performed. How do I do this?
You will need to go into Control Nesting SETTINGS and select the "No Outline Cuts" option. Also in the SETTINGS area, you will need to choose the Nesting Parameters button and ensure that Add Part Clearance and Collar are set to zero.
Thanks for your help. I may be wrong here but this isn't how you change the default nesting position to the G902 is it?????

I undestand the 'no outline cut' but not sure how to nest a pre-cut to size part in the G902 position.

Go into Fence/Fixture locations button within SETTINGS and simply change the Sheet Operations, Fence Location to G902 vs. G901. You just place the cursor in this dialogue and type it in. Hope this helps.
Dale,
Also make sure while you are in nesting paramaters that you tick the selection box for Nest to edge of sheet.
All the settings you change in here will stay the same until you change them again....
What you are looking for is located in the M999 macro .
Go to tool length measuring file and open it
arrow down to the M999 line (about 4 or 5 lines down)
push the blockstep+ to enter the macro
arrow down to the set G902 line (make a note as to what the original setting is so that later on you can reset it if necessary)
hit Tab and change the info
hit enter
hit the end key
push blockstep +
And that takes you out of the macro
home the machine
If your Thermwood control software is V7.2.0+, then you will access the Machine Variables Table to edit the actual location of the G901 and/or G902. To access this table, go to top menu bar on THM control screen and select EDIT, Machine Variables.
