Any Way to Speed Things Up?

It's taking several minutes, or more, for some of my cabinets to rebuild each time I make changes. On some of the more detailed cabinets the computer is 'Not Responding'. Any setting I can change to help things move a little quicker/better?

I'm using a Dell Precison 490/Intel Xeon CPU/3GB RAM. Connected to the computer, at times, with Remote Desktop Connection.

With all the part editor cuts etc. that you are putting into your cabinets I think you are going to have that problem.
In the past when eCabinets begins running slow I will exit eCabinets and shut down windows and re-start (Just a re-start of windows doesn't seem to clear the memory.) This seems to help.

I think this is one of the things I think they are working on for vers 6. The cabinets will not have to completely re-generate every time you change something. Until then you just have to be patient. I run two computers and surf the internet on one while I am waiting for eCabinets to catch up on the other.

Avoid the remote desktop.

You mean they are going to fix one of the things I have been banging on about for ages!!! Well knock me down with a feather!!! How about cabinets dont regenerate when you have done nothing to them and they stay in wire frame when you set them that way? Or am I asking too much?

I sure hope that this is one of the improvements. I work on my laptop 95% of the time and only move to the desktop when things get really slow. As in any production program there are always ways it could be improved. But even as it is it is a great program. It has helped me quite a bit in my time savings and proposals to the customers. The 3D renderings sell the jobs.
