Missing Drawers after saving cabinet

Post by Marc Rheaume »

Good afternoon/evening,

I am trying to install drawer boxes to cabinets in order to nest them on the CNC. I can add the boxes with the right dimensions when in cabinet editor, either using "Drawer Box Editor" or the pop-out tab on the right of my screen. Either way, the software doesn't seem to be saving my changes. . The drawer boxes have disappeared when I reload the cabinet. I don't have them attached to the fronts as I'm using Metabox drawer sides, and using insets works until you change the cabinet width (unless I'm doing it wrong). If someone has successfully attached Metabox drawer boxes to their fronts, I'd love to chat with you.
It also doesn't work if I load boxes through Batch Cabinets and edit each one individually.
I'm running Version 6 Build 1 on a Vista system.
I have ran the file as a user as well as administrator.
If I can get this to work, I'm willing to design my drawer boxes this way until version 7

Anyone else with this problem? More importantly, anyone else with the problem solved?

Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

Hi Marc,

I've had no trouble doing metabox drawers that are installed when you click "add drawer" from the door/drawer editor, and have the metabox selected as the default drawer box.

I'm attaching a cabinet I just threw together from the Std. Base Frameless.

Not sure exactly what could be causing a problem, so if looking at this cabinet doesn't help, maybe you could post a step-by-step guide for how you're doing it.

Anyway, check out the attached cabinet and see if it isn't what you're after. (it even has a few holes drilled in the bottom of it...a nice new feature of V6)

Marc,

I noticed that version 6 created a new set of folders for version 6 and listed the version 5 files separately. I was working on a cabinet that was created in version 5 and when I saved the cabinet with some changes the application saved it under a file created under the version 6 folder. It did not send the changes to the original folder. Check for the changes in a version 6 folder.
