How to explode

I have this single wall oven, and I need to explode it to be able to change the texture on some of the parts. I just don't know how to do this. I have proge Cad 2009 smart and I just can't figure it out. I would really like for some one to explain to me on how to do this, it is something I want to learn. Do I explode the whole oven or just the part I want to give a new texture to? Then once it is exploded how do I add layers.

Now I just need to know how in the heck to do it. Do you know anything about Proge Cad smart. I would think the procedure should be the same for all cad programs as for as exploding and doing layers.

What do you meen export? Go to proge cad smart 2009 it is free and you will see what I have

Gary,

I just open the .dwg or .dxf file in Intelicad, select all entities, type explode in the command line and hit enter.
look in the progecad help files for explode.

Thanks for the reply but I could explode everything with no problem, I just didn't know how to get the different layers after I exploded it. I finially figured out you just start taking the item apart and start saving the part that is on the screen, then rebuild it and put it all back together. A lot of work.

How do you guys like your different CAD software? We have a very basic one that we have been using, but it is greatly lacking in the dxf department. I'd like to find out more if you guys would like to share.

I have used Intellicad for several years. It is as close as I could get to AutoCad at a price I could justify. If I were buying another CAD program to work with eCabinets I would get Punch ViaCad. I think that is what George Davidson is still using and I have tried the trial versions (several times). For my needs it would be great addition to eCabinets.
