Crash crash crash

Post by Leo Graywacz »

That is all that I am getting from the new version 5. I am using an older file from V5.3. I have remade a lot of cabinets in V6 but after this upgrade I can't do anything.

I have gone as far as rebooting the computer and just running eCabs without any other programs. I never have to do this. I get one save. Then the next one gives me a hoops error and and then the program stops responding. I have worked on this kitchen for 6 hours trying to tune it in and I have acconplished about 20 minutes worth of work.

The save was not saving. It would do its normal thing with the two loading bars, first the info loads then it writes the file and then it would hang for 20 seconds. I thought it saved things, but I was so wrong.

Is this version not compatible with previous versions?

Hmmm...Leo, no problems like that here. Can you post the steps (and maybe the job) to reproduce the problem?

Pretty much anything I do will cause a problem. I doubt I can post the file because of its size.

Do you know what the limit is? Is it still 16MB?

Try this.

Open the file, say no to the update

Then go to the room editor and choose the cabinet to the right of the 45 degree wall. It has 3 doors 2 drawers. Then using the cabinet resizing edit function try to resize the cabinet to 55.5" with the right side checked.

Mine hangs when it gets to a door resize. Just stops in mid changeover and hangs. No way out.

But you can bring the cabinet into the cabinet editor and change it.

I was trying to change the toekick height of the lower cabinet on the angle corner from 4 to 4.5 and it hung on the door resize.
