Hi, just a couple of quick questions regarding what router bits people use and speeds.
For cutting our 16mm melamine chip board we use a 9.5mm triple flute onsrud cutter at 18000rpm and 21000 feed speed. That seems to get us around 120 sheets of 2400x1800 before it needs re-sharpening. Does anybody have any other advice or better setup.
Next question, for boring hinge holes, and cam holes we are using a 12mm triple flute onsrud cutter which is our pocket tool, at 12000rpm. I am reasonably sure that this is the wrong type of bit to be using to do this operation. Advice please.
We run @ 24000 Feed and 20000 RPM on 18mm Chipboard With an Onsrud 60-126MW OR MC (marathon)
We Run @ 18000 Feed and 20000 RPM on 18mm MDF with an Onsrud 60-123MW or MC
We Use the 60-123MW to do Hinge holes at the same feed and RPM as above. We also have a 10mm drill bit in the bank to do the knock in holes of the hinge.
