It works with both. I had a chance to use it today. It's a lot better than hitting the e-stop and you can do it from across the shop. Another feature is that the hold down vac stays on while the machine is paused. E-stop shuts my vac off, I'm assuming it does the same on all of them.
I'm not sure if the leave skin feature works with cn or not I will test it next week and let you know.

Kerry,
From what I understand its part of the You Build upgrade. I believe it's designed to save production time by getting the operator away from the controller to do other jobs but still be in control.
There is a lot of interest in You Build here. I am mostly a cabinet and part cutting shop so I didn't have a lot of contacts with furniture people so its a little slow. But people are talking about it. That's a start. I think once it takes off it will be big.
The personal pause button is an option for all machines including 5 axis. With 3 and 5 axis machines not utilizing Control Nesting, the pause button will work but will only allow you to Resume. With machines that utilize Control Nesting, you get more options once the button is pressed. You get the resume feature, replace tool, flycut spoilboard/wasteboard, leave skin on remaining parts or start sheet over. This personal pause button allows the operator more freedom than just being stuck at the machine controller waiting for a project to be completed. This is a "Pause" button, not an e-stop button. The machine will stop and the spindle will turn off once the button is depressed.
