Hardware database update failed

Hardware database update failed

Downloaded ecabs to new computer. When I try to run system, the message "hardware database update failed" pops up. Tried to reload program but get the same message.
What would be the fix.

I will assume that the new PC has Windows 8 or 8.1. If so, try doing the following:

> Go to Control Panel, Programs and Features, then select Turn Windows features on or off.
> Now, in the Windows Features dialog, Check on the .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) option (see attached picture), then select OK. Download the required files and let it install.
> Re-run the eCabinet Systems install and choose the Repair option.
> Launch eCabinet Systems and see if the issue is resolved.
