I might be behind the eight ball here but I just figured out that I can take a pdf created in the Line Drawing Editor and convert it to DXF which can than be opened up in autocad to be able to edit further and add dimensions.
I installed a free software called Inkscape found here: http://www.inkscape.org/en/
This software allows you to open up the pdf and save it as a dxf.

Re: FYI Converting LDE To PDF To DXF
Interesting... but is the pdf vector or an auto-traced raster? Either way I still wouldn't get much use out of LDE but it might be useful for cutting mirrored parts or drawing sections, etc. At this point it doesn't make much sense to not be able to export dxf without having to jump through a bunch of hoops, hopefully a future update could fix this problem.
I've read the whole argument about using the software on other machines but it still doesn't make sense to me. No one in their right mind would want to go through all of that effort to make multiple cabinets that way. It would really only be useful for shop drawings and custom parts that you need to modify outside of ecabinets.

I use cute pdf writer to go from LDE to PDF and its vector.
I am not sure when using a different method to create the pdf.
