screen full of dots in line drawing editor

Hi,

I just changed to win 7. And I am getting the screeen full of dots in line drawing editor at any zoom level, and I have grid turned off and the dots don't go away.

Ensure that you have the latest available graphics driver installed for you graphics card. Not through Windows, but rather from the card manufacturer's website.

I have installed all the latest drivers for everything, and I still get the same dots.

However, if I check "Force Software Rendering" the dots disapear. What will that do? Will that affect performance?

Force software rendering tells eCabinet Systems to bypass your graphics card all together. With that said, it does seem that there is an issue with your card/driver. What card do you have (make, model)? It depends on your graphics card, but yes, there typically would be a reduction in performance when forcing software rendering.
