Water hose
I was wondering with all this heat, my shop isn't cooled with AC, if that waterhose in the back of the M42 should ever be leaking water from the AC unit? It has been bone dry for as long as I can remember. Is there a way to get inside to check for a possible clog? Up near Toronto - crazy hot last few days expecially with a high humidity.

Re: Water hose
It is just an overflow for the condensate tray. The cover for the control cabinet cooler on our machine is just secured with 10-12 screws around the edge. I've had to remove it before on our CS43 to service the squirrel-cage fan. Ours seized, and I've had to replace it due to dust ingress. It's possible that it is clogged, would be quick to check.

Re: Water hose
Thanks - will give it a closer look once I'm done a project here... didn't even know there was a pan, guessing it's overflowed. Brutal this heat is.

Re: Water hose
As Stuart mentioned, its just when there is condensation on the evaporator core for the A/C unit. If there is whole bunch of humidity you might see it spit a bit of water. But its only conditioning the air within the control cabinet. So as long as the cabinet is mostly sealed as it should be, the A/C unit pulls air from within the cabinet, cools it, then pushes it back in the cabinet. It shouldn't be exchanging much if any shop air. So even if it is humid outside, the air in the cabinet is likely not humid.

Re: Water hose
Thanks - agreed. Will open it up regardless, seems to work fine for a few hours then the cooling STOPS... so my guess is there is a clog somewhere once the pan gets filled.
