Thanks Dennis. That makes total sense. 99% of the cabinets on this project are parts that could be oriented in either direction. I did ask them about assembly marks and they said they 'just don't use them'. To me, assembly marks seem like a no brainer as you just set all our dado insets the same and the former takes care of proper part orientation.

I am mainly now concerned about their fit clearance being 1.5 their depth clearance since everyone else's on here appears to be around the oppsite. Using a special glue, as they do, and differing materials may affect the size of the clearances but should not affect the relationship of the width to depth clearance. But, maybe I shouldn't fret so much as they've been doing this for quite some time so must obviously know what they are doing. But, I like to understand the reasoning behind certain decisions, especially when they are not according to convention, as it gives me a better understanding of my craft. We will be running a couple test cabinets and assembling them before we run the entire job, but this is my first outsourcing project and it's a large one. So, I am trying to be extra careful.
