I'm talking about over the side windows. Building codes here call for a double 2x12 header over all window and door (even interior) openings.
If the header was there I could have placed the mounting brackets where I wanted instead of having to find a stud for them.

Sorry Dan, what I meant was the gable truss was probably designed for load bearing without the need for a lentil.

Either way, I did find studs close enough to where I wanted to place the brackets and got it on the wall.
I guess the only thing that really matters is that the wife is happy with it.
