am currently working on a project that will have mission style doors. I am having a few problems. I have created a file folder within the door directory, but when I go to save the door the folder does not show as an option. I also need the doors to be walnut, which I can not find that species listed. I did however paste a walnut file within the door section under maple but it does not show up. I am trying to use CRP-10 and modify it to show a flat panel in the front. I would also like to add a mid stile to a few of these doors. Can this be done? Thanks for any help, since I am a first time user of this program.

Re: Modifying and saving doors
Hi James, open Door/Drawer Front Designer, Select Source> Conestoga> Standard> CRP10. Click Save at the bottom of the screen. You will now get the Save Door/Drawer Front window. This is where you will enter your directory name, and the name of your door, then press save. now click Back to the Select Directory window, here you will find your new directory. Changing the door finish can be done in the Cabinet Editor simply by creating a sheet goods of the finish you want, then loading your seed cabinet, right clicking on a part of the cabinet other than the door (eg. Top, Sides or Back) selecting construction settings, then changing the Material to the desired sheet goods, click OK. Now just Hi-lite the door, right click, select Match Texture then left click on the part and the texture of the door will change to match that of the sheet goods. From there you just change the part back to its original material, save the cabinet as your seed. All future cabinets created from this seed will retain this modification. We are hoping on V6 for the Mid Stile. HTH

Thanks Rick!

James,
If you are creating a sub-directory in Windows, you need to create that directory in Doors/Saved/, then Conestoga or MDF or Slab or Thermwood. You may have to close eCabinets, then restart it to see the folder.
A Walnut texture can be found in the Materials library in the SR-Wood folder.

Re: Modifying and saving doors
Does anyone know if there is a way to have your new directory be the default directory when you open the d/d editor?
Currently I have a "My Doors" directory beneath the Conestoga directory. It would be nice if "My Doors" was in the initial drop down menu.
Or when you select source, you could select build in house.
