end upper corner
I am having trouble figuring out how to design an end corner cabinet with 2 doors angling to the center. I have built them before on the table saw but that isn't much help. here is an example http://www.kitchensonclearance.com/imag ... binets.jpg
Thank you

Re: end upper corner
What do you do to create the front with angles like that?
I need to draw one up now as I got this Job and need to get my door order in and start cutting.
Thanks

Re: end upper corner
I am trying to build a frameless cabinet like the dxf file shown. I tried to use the ecabs one that you provided but I can't figure out how to remove the other 2 cabinets. I must be missing some trick, but I can't find the info in my Ecabs guide.
Thanks

Lorin,
Take the assembly to the cabinet editor, double click on the cabinet you want to delete then right click and chose delete. Repete for the other cabinet

Re: end upper corner
Now more problems. When I delete the doors and frames and try change materials and dimensions/insets it reverts to a square again. Do I have to change this in part editor??

Re: end upper corner
Sitting here or the last few hours with ecabinets guide and still can't figure out how to make this cabinet. I can take a frameless corner cabinet, change all the material to 5/8 but can't get the angled fronts on it.
Any ideas what I should do at this point?? I want to make a 12"wide by 12" deep with no face frames but with doors.

Re: end upper corner
lorin,
Are you just doing the design for display purposes or do you need to cut it on your machine as well?
Also do you need a center wall in it?

Re: end upper corner
I need it to cut, as well as to get my door sizes for ordering. it is on the end of a run of 12" deep by 40" tall uppers. All it needs is a left side and a back as well as 3 shelves. the doors will cover the front.
Thank you

Re: end upper corner
Lorin, I am having trouble making it work too. I took a normal upper frameless cabinet and resized it to 12 inches wide. Next I deleted one side. Then highlight the top and take it to the part editor. Go to contour mode in part editor and you can draw the geometry there. Then get back out of contour mode into regular part editor and your geometry will still be there. Select your geometry and right click to open the option box. Select cut pocet using closed contoru and select cut through.
This will cut out whatever geometry you have selected.
Now for my trouble with it.
I can't seem to make my geometry into a closed coutour. It will not cut anything unless it is closed.
If someone will chime in and fill me in on how make the lines into a closed contour I think I can get you there.
Then you will have to take the bottom, top, and all shelves to make the same cuts on them.
As for sizing of the doors, it would be faster to lay it out on the workbench in full scale. lol
