Jobs from V5 to V6

Post by ScotAcree »

I have jobs from V5 that are now ready to be made in V6.Do I need to Re-save all cabinets from one version to the next in the cabinet editor?Or would starting over in the custom layout be better with new cabinets from V6.

I seem to be crashing sometimes and editing V5 cabinets takes quite a while once I start.

So,what have you done to your previously made jobs or cabinets to speed things up?

Hi Scot,
I dont know if your going to have these cut, but if so, I would redraw them in v-6,at least enough to get your machine work.
I might be wrong, but I tried a couple three in the transition and had a few problems.
I ended up just redrawing the last couple after I had v-6 tuned up and cabinets regenerated in v-6.

Scot...
I have had some success by taking the V5 cabs into the editor and removing all the hardware and PE cuts with V5. Save them and then open with V6. This, of course, was during the time when I had both on my computer.
