Matty,

Is the tool being used for flip operation being used for any other operations in primary side cuts? If so, is the depth correct on those cuts? The reason I ask, you first want to check the DAYLIGHT value for tool being called in the part program to ensure it is correct. The next thing you can verify is the actual WASTEBOARD thickness if in fact you are using a wasteboard during cut process. Last thing you could monitor is the flatness of your working surface. See if depth cuts are consistant throughout work envelope, may need to resurface your working surface.

Another thing to consider is if you are doing flip ops and the pieces are smaller and you do not cover the rest of the table with something to slow vacuum draw, the waste board will not be sucked as tightly to the table and so it will be "up" 1mm and tool will cut into it. Been there, done that. When we do flips, we cover the rest of the table to make sure vacuum pulls maximum pressure through the part. Because of the hold down and alignment issues with flip parts, we absolutely avoid them whenever possible.
Just another possible idea.
