disappearing shelf pins

Why is it when I take a cabinet from custom layout to cabinet editor and add shelf pins to cabinet buy list then return to custom layout there are no shelf pins If I add them to the cabinet in custom layout they remain.

When in the cabinet editor, to add hardware to a cabinet you have to double click the cabinet to select it (highlights the cabinet green) then added the hardware. If you dont have a cabinet selected, then the hardware is added to the assembly. When you take a cabinet from the custom layout to the cabinet editor then return the cabinet back to the custom layout, it only takes the changes made to the cabinet back. So if the hardware is added to the assembly, it will be lost when returning.
