Hi so I’ve been having this issue for a while where there is these gaps in each of my pieces and we sent it to a different machine and it cut it the same way, we use locked dado with an interruption of 5/16 and the pattern we use is just a 1/8 predrill
Does anyone know what this is? I’ll send the work files when I am home
Is it a flip operation part or all done from one side? My initial thought is either outline tool diameter is off (entered in as .375" when its actually a resharpened bit a .340"), or there isn't enough depth clearance. Potentially also the diameter of the tool cutting the tenons.
Could also be flex in the machine. My Shopbot is notorious for being a pretty flexible (not in a good way) machine. Doesn't matter how much I keep it tuned up. It just an inherently flexible machine when cutting plywood. One way I've minimized this is to take shallower cuts, thus more passes. It takes longer to cut but the cuts are much closer. Just my two cents.....
