There is an architect in our area who designs units like made entirely of 3/8\" thick stock. Plus, he insists that all of the shipping breaks or construction joints be engineered so that, once reassembled on site, they look all the other cubbies (putting two partitions 3/8\" thick side by side is not allowed.)
I have seen several installations and grudgingly admit that they are attractive (\"delicate\" is the word I use with customers who ask for similar designs when I am trying to encourage to them choose a more manageable alternative.) Are other members of the forum as reluctant to undertake a project like this as I am?

Hey Mike,

I have to admit that these file cubbies were very fragile, but the end result is worth it. I had these cut out on a cnc for me. IF I were to change anything on the design it would be the depth of the tenon and the length of tenon. That way you would have a little more strength on the inside pieces that are dadoed on both sides. Hope this helps....
