I have worn out a copy of the Ecabinet Systems made easy looking for this and it is such a simple thing but I can't get the $#@^%$ thing to move.
After a cabinet is placed, how do you move it? I am building an island, placed my first cab against the wall, turned it 90 and now it sits away from the wall 5 1/2\" and I cannot move it. I highlight it, get the grids, but ARRGHHH.
Thanks.
A very good question, stop beating yourself up - that's what we are here for, to help each other out.
When you are in the \"detail room\" section of custom layout you should be able to left click the cabinet you want moved. Next hold down the shift key and either use the arrows (make sure you have set your move increment - right click in space the scroll to move increment) or hold down the right mouse button and move away!
I hope I got that right, try it out and let us know.
In order to move a cabinet after it is placed, you need to change the Insert Item Method to Free Style. Then you can use the arrows and move increment.
