Most times when I use cut list and hit "export to excel" it appears in what looks like excel format but is in open in Iexplorer and does not give an option for saving, rarely when I hit "export to excel" it will give the option of "open" "save" etc. I can then save it and open with excel and all is good any ideers anyone
Double-click My Computer
Select Tools/Folder Options
Select File Types
Scroll down and select .XLS
Select the Advanced button
You should have a dialog box for Edit File Type and there should be a check box for Confirm open after download. If this box is checked you will get the prompt.
Thanks all I also figured out it stores it in the temp folder so I have been just getting it from there but tried Rob's idea and that works much better
Thanks Dan and Rob, both ways worked. I use excel to clean up the cut list and arrange the order of the parts the way I like. I wish that there was a way to arrange and clean up the cut list order in ecabinets without exporting.
