backing up

Can someone explain to a dummy how to save my jobs and my cabinet library on a disc so that I can get them off my computer? They seem to be taking up a lot of needed space.

Re: Thermwood CNC Router

Thanks for the tip Mr. Dan!! I have been talking a lot to Dennis Blackburn, but I didn't think about setting me up with another Thermwood user.

Thank you also Mr. Thom for the invitation. I may take off on a jet ski this weekend and head that way. Can you send some directions?

Thermwood CNC Router

Hey!!!!
I went to the show in Atlanta and it was awesome and very overwhelming. I have made up my mind to get a CNC machine, but I would like to see one in action before I purchase one and talk to someone who has one in person to get some pointers on using it. I am planning to go to Thermwood soon ...

Small doors

When I create a cabinet that has small door openings, the program tells me that my doors are too small and must be a certain minimum size and then deletes my doors and leaves my cabinet doorless. Even when I try to put a slab door on it, it gives me a message describing what the minimum size should ...

Pricing jobs with eCabinets

I haven't used eCabinets a lot yet. I am still mostly doing everything by hand. I am trying to make the transition, but haven't worked out all of the bugs yet. I have always priced my jobs out by footage plus accessories and unusual occurrances. I know that this can't be the most accurate way to ...

Re: IWF 2008

I'm going. You guys don't know me, but I am looking forward to meeting all of you. I will probably spend most of my time at the Thermwood booth looking at the machines. I hope to get one soon. I have had ecabinets for a long time, I just haven't taken the time to fully learn the program yet. I work ...

Dumb questions about membership

What is the difference in a Junior member and a new member? What does it take to become a Senior member? When do you become a Guru member? What is an eCabinets Beta Tester and how does a person become one? Forgive me for my ignorance please.

Re: CNC router purchase or not

Thank you all for your input. Hearing that machines are purchased in slow times as well as good times makes me feel better about it. Before 2005, business for my area was unbelievably booming. Then all of the sudden, things slow down. I have heard that some shops that had been open for a long time ...

CNC router purchase or not

This question is for employers across the country who use ecabinets and have a Thermwood CNC router. I have a 5000 square foot shop in a rural area of the panhandle of Florida. My wife and I employ 4 full time employees at the present time. We build, finish, and install custom cabinets, wall units ...

How long did it take you to develop this drawing? It looks like it would have taken me a lot of time to create this.
Thanks, Neal

Emailing renderings

Is there any way that I can render drawings on ecabinets and then email the renderings to my customer so that I wouldn't have to print them, scan them, and then send them?
Thanks, Neal

Excel explanation

I understand that I can take a cutlist and transport it to an excel file or something like that. The trouble is that I don't know what this means, but it sounds interesting. Have I got to have some other kind of software to do this? And just what am I accomplishing by doing this?

Ignorantly,

pictures or drawings of cabinets for assemblers

I do not have a cnc router. I have table saws, radial arm saws, drill presses, and the like. My cutlists are working out fine for my cut man; however, my assembler needs a picture of the cabinet he ( or she) is building. Do I have to print off each cabinet through the line drawing editor, or is ...
