Re: Trouble cutting cabinet parts

I would recommend setting up your libraries so you don't have flip opps. We avoid them if at all possible. We have been machining for 7-8 years and still have stress achieving the accuracy we like with a flip opp.

Profile modeler

Hi we are modeling a profile on the outside of a solid wood door. Currently the model starts in the center of the door and works towards the outside leaving narrow sliver that chips and splinters on the final pass. Does anyone know if there is a way to reverse that so it starts at the outside of the ...

Re: Close call today, CNC fire

We have had the same issue at one point. Ours was using the 1/4" to pocket the hole instead of the drill bit to drill. That was before we started using tool groups designated to the material. I believe there is a setting in the tooling to only drill a set depth than come up to clean out. If you are ...

Re: Profile Modeler MDF door corners

Way old!! But ran across this while looking for something else. When we have issues with not squaring out the corners it is because we have to set the larger bit to leave stock.

Re: Sub out eCabs Jobs

Hi Fred, I just had some questions. What type of case work would it be? Face frame? (inset or overlay) Or European? Do you have existing libraries? Would this be mostly for the shop or just visuals for the customers?

Feature request

For our cabinets we have our seed cabinets all melamine with lock dadoes drilling a pilot hole for a screw going all the way through. To date I have been just going to the KD's window selecting right edges and removing hardware. VOILA! However, this leaves our tenon to far back from the front and ...

We are a medium shop (15 employees) and do a fair amount of custom stuff. Example: for a painted cabinet with a face frame we put a stretcher in front and run a 1/8" toolpass in it to create a face frame. So when the CNC guy nest the file there is nothing indicating there is a tool pass on the pcs ...

Re: No Edge banding on profiled parts?

Not sure, I am guessing the reason it isn't allowed is the profile would usually get applied to an MDF or solid wood part and that wouldn't normally get edge banded.

Yes the pattern default changes but the actual hole pattern doesn't apply.

Hardware pattern Global Modification

Hi I had several cabinets that needed a different slide pattern, I selected them and went through the Global Mods procedure. Now when I go into the cabinet the default slide is changed but I have to select the fronts and apply hardware. Is this how it is supposed to work or am I missing some check ...

I have noticed if I angle them, if there is one dimension locked it causes problems.
