Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone could maybe shed some light on a cut quality issue we are having with our Thermwood 90 5 axis machine. We are a plastics manufacturer that uses the machine to trim vacuum formed parts. We have recently had it upgraded to the Latest Qcore control but are having issues with curved cut lines and circles. The code out of Mastercam seems to be smooth enough when previewing in Cimco, however the cuts we get from the machine do not look as smooth.
Does anyone know if this would be a machine mechanical issue or a code/control issue?
Thanks
Alex

Alex,
Can you email the CNC code and a zip2go from Mastercam to program@thermwood.com? We can have a few more eyes take a look at it then and see what is going on.

Lurker here, Curious to know if this was diagnosed. It looks to me like the flutter from insufficient fixturing or the geometry of the curve being broken into line segments (polyline, spline, curve). None of my business, but curious to see what the remedy was. Thanks.
