Was running V5.2B6 on my "old" system - XP-Pro, all up-to-date - and tried to install V6 and migrate the old files. In the process V5 got completely removed from my system, and V6B3-1a will not install; keeps asking for the V3.2 CD. :(
What can I do? :?: :?:
I have V6 running on my "new" W7 ...

Drivers are up-to-date, Kerry.
But screen re-draws after changes are a bit glitchy, too. I'll expand on that more later...

Shift+Left Click doesn't work in V6/Win7 Custom Layout
The Shift+Left Click will not let me rotate the workspace in Custom Layout, either Plan view or Rendered. :?:
The only way I can do it is with the Rotate and/or Angle slider controls in Render view.
The combo does work in cabinet design, and yes the left mouse click does work for everything else ...

Re: Win7 - Ver5.2 Build 6 update won't work
That did it. Thanks, Kerry. I keep forgetting to "Run As Administrator" whenever I'm doing installs.
Win7 is worth it, though - everything pretty much runs in a blink now!
4G in this machine right now, but I think I'm going to bump it to at least 8G soon.

Win7 - Ver5.2 Build 6 update won't work
 Windows7 64-bit loaded and running, eCab Ver5.2 Build 5was running on it (and (QUICK !).
Today I got the "expired" notice, so I downloaded the Build 6 update file, saved to disk and ran it. On starting eCab it said it had to go online to "verify". OK. Then it went back to telling me it was ...

Re: Built a new computer
The new Reg Code did the trick. eCab now up and running on Win7/64bit machine.
Maybe the How-To for Vista/Win7 PDF should be updated to note that requirement at the end.

Re: Built a new computer
OK. Waiting (more or less patiently) for my new registration code to arrive in email.
Hope it does the trick, 'cause so far everything runs MUCH quicker under W7, and I can punch mem up to 16G (have 4 now)

Reg Code Generator link was moved
Duane's "***IMPORTANT***Registration Code Generator" post from May '06 (locked) should be revised/edited to show that the code generator link is now in the drop-down menu under Member Services, and not in a link on the side of the page.

Re: Built a new computer
I have a similar problem to Terry's.
Upgraded my recently-built new PC with Win7. Old OS was WinXP-Pro so I used the "Custom Install" option to basically do a new install of Win7/64-bit. So far most things brought over or re-installed are working fine, but eCab does the same thing described by Terry ...

Downloaded Lib corner cab problem
All the 45-degree-front corner cabinets in the free download libraries have the door panels (Frame-less) or the frame stiles behind the door panel (Face-frame) embedded into the sides of the cabinet. Is this right? All the 45 front cabs show this way. What's the best/simplest way to correct this ...

"conventional" 4-legged table - how?
Brain freeze here.
How do I design a "standard" rectangular 4-legged table with (or w/o) aprons?
I want to start with the basic table and be able to re-size it, and change the legs - square, round, tapered,
colonial, etc, change the aprons out for drawers.
Basically, how do I shorten a cabinet and ...
