Hi everyone,
We recently purchased a Vortex 7600 Insert dovetail tool kit and need some help setting it up on the router and in the Ecabs software. Anyone have any experience with this tool?
Any help would be appreciated. We are cutting 5/8 baltic birch as the drawer material.
Thanks
Jason

Write to CNC stuck! HELP!
I'm running CN 5.59 b/c I hate the interface of the newer CN. Just wanted to say before everyone jumps at me about updating.

Re: Unstable ecabs
We are using Win XP. It will do it with just about any job not anyone specific. It may open the job once then not the second time you try to open it. Same deal with the cabinets on Cab editor when trying to save. I am running Windows Security Essentials AV. Could that be the problem maker? Just ...

Unstable ecabs
My ecabs software is becoming more & more unstable. I am unable to open previously saved jobs on a regular basis. Now today it is occasionally not allowing me to save cabs in cab editor. I have to save it under another name then resave as original. Any ideas or anyone else have this problem?

Melamine 2nd pass problem
I am using a CS45 to cut melamine closet components from DXF files, among other things. The router machines properly leaving the .025" skin I have set but as it cuts the 2nd pass it does not cut the skin even with the side of the part. I don't have any cleanup amount set so I don't think that is an ...

Re: macbook pro and ecabinets
We are using iMac's running Ecabinets and have no problems what so ever. You will need to purchase and install a Windows OS (we are running Windows XP) in Boot Camp and run in the Windows OS for it to run smoothly but you should not have any issues. Our Macs are the best Windows machines we have. In ...

KD Rafix boring bits
Hi guys, We are getting into machining closet system parts and need some router bits to bore 10mm & 20mm for the Rafix connectors. Does anyone know where to find both of these with carbide tipped cutters? I have been looking and only found the 20mm on Hafele. I realize they will require an adapter ...

Quad Core or Core 2 Duo?
Many new workstation computers are offering Quad Core processors. Does Ecabs benefit at all from a quad core? More important, does it hurt the program (slow it down, etc.)? I have not been able to find any topics on this issue thus far.
Thanks

Thinking of MAC
We are ready to purchase a new computer exclusively for Ecabs. I have a computer shop pricing me a custom built Desktop PC. Today, I was shown a Mac that really blew me away as far as ability to handle quite a load of programs and not miss a beat. I want to know how many people are running Ecabinets ...
