(With out the desk top)
They will have the desk top made

I would charge at least a $1000.00 a foot for something like this.

Looks like at least $4,200 depending on the wood and whether the mouldings are purchased or made in-house.

I ran this through my pricing stuff and came up with $6800.
Hard maple dovetailed drawers with clear coat.
All moldings made in house with the exception of the dentil molding. (That was outsourced, Idon't like to cut it) I didn't allow for custom knives. All molding profiles would have to be created with knives I already own.
The finish was calculated as a simple stain with some highlighting and no distressing. Other finishes would be extra.
No desk top.
Delivered and set up in room.

I am afraid that this will be just like the cabinet maker magazine pricing for you. You will get everything from $1500 to $150,000.

Cabinets, applied my material prices and added all components then calculated my labor using a spread sheet

It will be interesting to see what ranges you get.

I told them it would be about 2 weeks before I could get
back to them with a price.I will call them this week.
I wasn't going to work on it till next week but I had to play with it
last night.
Kerry have you tryed making your own molding knives.
I have not tryed yet but I would like to try one or two just
to try it.I just had to buy one $152.00 to the shop.The
builder needed two door legs 80\" long the customer paided for the
knive.

George location seems to always play a big role but I calculated $11,500.00 FOB my shop.

On the knife grinding everyone should own at least a Viel profile grinder. With the low machine cost it does not take but one job to pay for it.

I have never tried grinding my own knives.
I use a spreadsheet that I got off the Woodweb that helps calculate the cost of moldings and adds knife charges at varying degrees to help offset the knife charges.
If I think the knife is a one time use the original customer pays for the knife and the moldings.
If I think I will use it again the original customer pays 45% of the cost and the rest is added into the moldings for other customers. It has worked pretty good.

I will have to look into the grinder but at this point I don't really need something else to do in the shop. Probably if you are making a lot of custom knives it would be great.

I have to look into making my own Web. page
In about 5 years I had 2 Web. pages that Co's have made up for me.
I did not like the way they ran them. I would not know where to start to make one.I would like to make my oun but I think it would take up
to mush of my time.I just want to show our customer our work
in the house we custom build and the cabinets we can build with
e-Cabinets. Tom I like the e-Cabinet pictures on your Web.

George most of the eCabinet pictures are older version. I should update. Like has been said here before the renderings sell the job. I am slowly getting furniture down in eCab.

I have the reverse problem of most and use my website to sell smaller jobs. I have a clientele already for high end large jobs but those tend to be no fun and at my age money is not the biggest issue.

George if you would like to contact me back channel I would be more than happy to help you set up a low cost Web site. I find it makes a great business card. People see your work then you talk.
